Biography

Dr. John A. DeCarolis has more than thirty years of experience and superior dental skills.  His approach to patient needs and his sensitivity towards patient concerns are highly regarded.  He is a practicing dentist at Jamestowne South Dental, a state-of-the-art dental facility, located in Bingham Farms, Michigan.  He has earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Michigan State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the University of Detroit, where he has also held teaching positions in the disciplines of Crown and Bridge, occlusion, and dental anatomy.  He has furthered his knowledge with continuing education at many teaching institutions such as The University of Michigan, Louisiana State University, and The Cleveland Clinic.  Dr. DeCarolis has taken advanced courses in the fields of implant dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and laser dentistry, keeping his skills within the highest of standards.  An example is the utilization of multiple lasers as an added tool to reshape the gum tissue in cosmetic veneer and crown cases.  Dr. DeCarolis has certification in cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, and laser dental therapy.  In addition, he participates in numerous local study groups where he shares ideas and treatment skills with other local professionals.

Dr. John A. DeCarolis is a member of numerous dental organizations and dental societies, such as The American Dental Association, The Michigan Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry, The Oakland County Dental Society, and The Francis B. Vedder Crown and Bridge Society at The University of Michigan.  At The Oakland County Dental Society he has held positions of Board member, Secretary/Treasurer, President Elect, and in 2016/2017 as President of the Organization.  He has had the position of Chairman of The Oakland County Ethics/Peer Review Committee and is presently the Chairman of the Ethics Committee.  He sits on the State of Michigan Dental Association Nominating Committee and is a liaison to The Oakland County Board.  He is an active participant in selective Community events to which he donates his time and service.  A notable recognition, Dr. DeCarolis was selected as the NFL dentist for emergency response at the 1982 Super Bowl Game held at the Pontiac Silverdome.  He had the pleasure of being called in to service and treat the team coach of The San Francisco 49rs.  Dr. DeCarolis is very passionate about dentistry and in achieving optimum results for all of his patients.
