Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is a procedure in which a resin material blended to match the color of your natural teeth is applied to a tooth and hardened using a special light. This process effectively “bonds” the resin to the tooth and covers blemishes and discolorations, leading to an improved smile.
Dental Veneers
Dental veneers are perhaps the simplest way to give you the smile you deserve, with no shots, drilling, or pain involved. After we prime and take impressions of your teeth, our lab will fabricate the razor-thin veneers that will be placed over your natural teeth.
Our porcelain veneers can be customized to match the color of your natural teeth, ensuring that any attempt to close gaps, reshape chipped teeth, or whiten discolored smiles looks as natural as possible.
Dentures, Complete and Partial
At Perfecting Your Smile – Dr. Cracchiolo DDS, we offer two types of dentures: complete or full dentures and partial dentures.
Our complete dentures come in “conventional” or “immediate” types. Conventional dentures tend to be easier to fit because they are made and placed after the teeth in question have been removed and the gums have healed for at least eight weeks.
Partial dentures or bridges are usually removable and come with replacement teeth held in place by a gum-colored plastic base and metal framework. These dentures are commonly used to replace a missing tooth and offer the benefit of being less invasive than implants.
Gingivectomy
A gingivectomy is an operation that transforms the gum line and reduces the risks caused by a gummy smile. A scalpel or laser is used depending on the condition to remove the excess gum tissue followed by treatment of the newly exposed area.
Gingivectomies are not a cure for gum disease. Just like with all of our smile makeover, it’s important to maintain good oral hygiene and regular follow-up appointments.
Invisalign®
Invisalign® is an advanced system of dental aligners created specifically for you and only you. After taking an impression of your teeth, a series of smooth, plastic aligners are fabricated for you to wear. Every two weeks, we check your teeth to see how they have shifted and provide you with a new set of aligners. This process continues until the desired final position of your teeth is achieved. Unlike traditional braces, Invisalign does not come with uncomfortable wires and brackets. You can even remove your aligners to eat or drink.
Porcelain Crowns
Dental crowns protect teeth that have been damaged by tooth decay, blunt force, and extensive wear and tear, preventing any further damage from happening. The crown, also known as a dental cap, covers and strengthens the damaged tooth, preserving its functionality. The dental crown covers the entire tooth surface, acting as a jacket of sorts.
